JV Baseball splits with Canton.
 

The Wellsboro JV baseball team split a double header with Canton tonight in Wellsboro. Wellsboro lost the first game 12-7 and won the second game 12-4.

In the first game of a double header, Ben Shaw returned to the mound for the first time in three years. He had a rough outing, giving up ten runs in two innings, while striking out five. Kyler Widows came in for relief and surrendered two runs over three innings, striking out one. The Hornets were led offensively by Brett Kendrick with three hits and two runs and Luke Rudy contributing a double.

In the second game, Dylan Prough pitched two hitless innings with two strikeouts. He was relieved by Kendrick, who gave up four runs in his inning of work. Nick Levindoski closed the game, pitching two innings of no hit ball. The offense was solid from top to bottom, with hits coming from Cody DeHaas, Billy Sell, Nate Harding, Kendrick, and Tanner Swan.
