Hornet baseball ten-runs Williamson in 5 innings.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity baseball team picked up their 12th win of the season with a 12-2 NTL West win over Williamson Friday.

The Hornets scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning and 6 runs in the 4th to finish the game in 5 innings. Freshman Dawson Prough and Junior Dylan Prough each went 2-3 at the plate to lead the team. Dawson hit 2 doulbes and 4 RBI's and Dylan scored 2 runs.

Senior Matt Reese and Junior Brandon Owlett each scored 3 runs, and Reese stole 4 bases. Senior Connor Coolidge, Junior Cody DeHaas, Junior Brian Doty, and Senior Ben Shaw each had hits to round out the Hornets at thte plate.

Owlett started on the mound and earned his 5th win of the year, striking out 8 batters and giving up 1 hit on 82 pitches.

With the win, the Hornets improve to 12-3 (5-2). The team will be back in action on Monday, May 13  as they travel to Canton.
