Hornet baseball falls to Troy.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity baseball team gave up six runs in the fourth inning to fall to Troy 14-11 on Thursday, May 1.

Senior Brandon Owlett had three hits and a run for Wellsboro and Senior Dylan Prough had a hit, two runs and two RBIs. Sophomore Dawson Prough had a double and an RBI.

Senior Brian Doty had two hits, two RBI and a run, Sophomore Nick Tremper had a hit, three runs and an RBI and Sophomore Joe Allen had two hits and two RBI for the Green Hornets.

Dylan Prough started, working three innings with three strikeouts. Allen struck out one in 1 2/3 innings, Sophomore James Mundy worked 1/3 of an inning and Owlett pitched one inning.

With the loss the Hornets fall to 6-6 (2-3 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action today as they host Towanda.
