Hornet baseball tops CV, 14-3.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity baseball team scored 14 runs against Cowanesque Valley on Wednesday night to pick up their second win of the season.

Senior Brandon Owlett recorded four hits with a double and three runs scored to lead the team at the plate. Sophomore Dawson Prough had two hits, one of them being a home run, and scored four runs.

Senior Dylan Prough, Senior Brian Doty, Junior Brett Kendrick, and Sophomore Nick Tremper had two hits each in the game and Doty had a double.

Dylan Prough, Sophomore Joe Allen, and Owlett combined on the mound, striking out four and allowing one hit.

The win improves the Hornets to 2-1 on the season. The team will be back in action on Friday, April 11 as they travel to Troy.
