Hornet baseball tops Troy, 9-8.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity baseball team snapped a three game losing streak with a 9-8 win over Troy on Tuesday, May 6.

The Hornets scored seven runs in the first three innings to hold on for the win. Sophomore Dawson Prough had three hits and scored three runs and Senior Brian Doty, Sophomore Nick Tremper, and Sophomore Joe Allen all had a double and two RBIs. Senior Brandon Owlett had a hit and scored a run and Senior Dylan Prough had a hit and scored two runs.

Junior Nick Levindoski had two hits and a run and Senior Cody DeHaas had a hit.

Owlett went the distance on the mound, striking out nine, to pick up the win.

The Hornets are now 7-8 (3-5 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Friday, May 8 as they host Mansfield.
