Hornet baseball tops Towanda, 13-2.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity Baseball team defeated Towanda 13-2 in five innings on Wednesday, April 15.

Senior Nick Levindoski was perfect at the plate as he went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI's and scored three runs. Junior Joe Allen was 3-for-3 with a double and scored two runs, Junior Larry Walters was 2-for-2, and Junior Dawson Prough was 2-for-4 with a double. Freshman Dalton Prough, Junior Nick Tremper, and Freshmen Johnny Rowland and Caleb Tennis also added hits on the night.

Dalton Prough threw a complete game as he allowed only three hits in five innings for the win.

"I'm pleased w our plate approach tonight but also with our pitching," said head coach Philip Prough. "We attacked the strike zone and weren't afraid to pitch to contact. It was a good overall win for us."

With the win, the Hornets improve to 3-3 (1-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Saturday, April 18 as they host Athens.
