Hornets fall to Coudersport, 2-0.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity Baseball team dropped their regular season finale 2-0 to Coudersport on Friday, May 20.

The Hornets started Friday's rescheduled game trailing 1-0 after the second inning. Coudersport added their second run in the fifth and hung on for the win, ending Wellsboro's 6-game win streak.

Senior Dawson Prough was 2-for-2 to lead Wellsboro at the plate while senior Joe Allen, sophomore Dalton Prough, and freshman Cam Tennis added the other hits. Allen pitched a complete game, scattering 5 hits and allowing 2 runs (both earned) with 5 walks and 2 strikeouts on 99 pitches.

The loss drops Wellsboro to 12-8 overall to close out the regular season. The team will now wait to find out their opponent for District IV playoffs.
