Coaching Bio

Coach Perry is in his third year as the head baseball coach at Wellsboro. In his first two seasons, the Hornets won two NTL Championships and Coach Perry wants to continue the winning tradition. Coach Perry's goal is for his players to have a successful learning experience by winning and having the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level.

Coach Perry played baseball at Alleghany College and after appearing in 2 regional playoffs, Coach Perry was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1996. Coach Perry played professional baseball with the Elmira Pioneers, winning a Northeast League Championship in 1997 and also played with the Johnstown Johnnies and Albany Diamond Dogs. In addition to playing professionally, Coach Perry has coached at the minor league level, the college level and really enjoys working with
high school athletes.

Coach Perry is in his third year of teaching fifth grade at the Rock L. Butler Middle School after spending the last five years working in the Corning-Painted Post School District. Coach Perry lives in Wellsboro with his wife Sarah, his daughter Piper, his step-son Max, and pets Elsa and Polly.
