It was a senior who tied things up for the Wyalusing Rams on Saturday afternoon and a freshman who delivered the game winner as the Rams rallied past Loyalsock 7-6.

Down a run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Laci Holdren came through with a game-tying home run to force extra innings.

"Holdren has been huge for us," Wyalusing coach Jack Loomis said. "She is really seeing the ball. She is our leader and she has just been on fire. What a huge day for her going 4-for-4 once again against very good pitching. She has anchored our defense as well."

In the bottom of the eighth inning Emily Faulkner led off with a single and after a sacrifice by Maddie Eberlin moved her to second and a pop out left the Rams down to their last out again, freshman Kasey DeVoir delivered a game-winning walk-off double.

"I think Kasey DeVoir is a very confident kid and she really took a big step today to come up with a game-winning hit," Loomis said. "It was amazing. She is just an all-around athlete and she is doing a great job for us."

For the Rams it's a big victory.

"I am thrilled, I think the kids, they have worked really hard," Loomis said. "They are really coming together. I really believe we have a very good, competitive team. I think after these guys came out and played against Loyalsock and Loyalsock was a very good team, I think we gained a lot of confidence.

"I am hoping you see a different team this week. I think they are starting to come together. Our kids can play defense and they are putting the bat on the ball now and really starting to believe in themselves."

DeVoir had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Cathryn Pugh scored two runs. Holdren was 4-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI.

Arielle Kneller had three hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Cierra Holland had a double and two RBI. Faulkner had a hit and the run scored and Ally DeVoir had two hits, with a double.

Faulkner pitched, striking out two and walking two.
