Canton's Pepper headlines All-Region baseball team.

Canton's Chase Pepper was nearly unhittable on the mound while posting his best batting season at the plate.

He led the Warriors to the NTL Small School title and District IV, Class A baseball title.

And he is this year's The Daily and Sunday Review All-Region Player of the Year.

There are two pitchers earning the Co-Pitcher of the Year award: Towanda's Tristan James and Athens' Tyler Forbes.

Wellsboro's Dawson Prough is this year's Silver Slugger award winner, Troy's Brandon Mattocks it the Newcomer of the Year, Waverly's Dylan Perry is the Defensive Player of the Year and the Athens coaching staff headed up by Brendon Hitchcock is the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Also on the staff is Neil Wheaton, Randy Vargason and Joe Joyce.

The First Team consists of Pepper and Garrett Wesneski from Canton, James and Sawyer Strope from Towanda, Wellsboro's Dawson Prough, Mansfield's Bryce Zaparzynski, Mattocks, Notre Dame's Hunter Thomas and Parker May, Forbes and Troy Stivason from Athens, CV's Tyler Melko, Waverly's Dylan Perry and Tioga's Peter Simmons and Dakota Skinner.

The Second Team is made up of Wellsboro's Brandon Owlett, Canton's Trevor Route and Connor Route, Waverly's Peyton Miller and Alex Uhl, Tioga's Jake Howland, Athens' Zane Vargason, Notre Dame's Cameron Reid, CV's Brandon Whitesell, Mansfield's Brady Andrews and Jarrod Burd, NEB's Garrett Smith, Wyalusing's Holdan Hitchcock and Kyle Tinna and Towanda's Dylan Bates.

The Third Team is made up of Tioga's Adam Layman, Parker Hendershot and Jesse Manuel, Waverly's Colton Miller and Collin Traub, Notre Dame's Sam Bruner and Derek Marshall, Troy's Isaac Havens and Kyle Schucker, Wellsboro's Dylan Prough, NEB's Aaron Pifer and Nik Geiser, Towanda's Noah Huff and Nick Place and Sayre's Cuyler Kochin.

The All-Rookie Team consists of Huff, Troy's Jed Wright, Mattocks and Havens, Notre Dame's Reid and Matt LaBadie, Williamson's Matt Learn, Mansfield's JP Shaw, Sayre's Matt Williams, NEB's Brian Horton and Smith, Waverly's Brendyn Stillman, Miller and Traub, Hitchcock from Wyalusing and Hendershot from Tioga.

The Gold Glove winners are Howland (catcher), Connor Route (first base), Trevor Route (second base), Perry (shortstop), May (third base), Forbes (pitcher), Mattocks (outfield), Vargason (outfield) and Manuel (outfield).
