Perry pitches Waverly past Notre Dame.

WAVERLY, N.Y. - Dylan Perry threw a two-hit shutout as the Wolverines picked up a 3-0 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday afternoon.

Perry struck out six and walked three, while limiting Notre Dame to two singles by Cameron Reid.

Waverly scored three runs in the first inning, helped by three Notre Dame errors, and that was all the scoring in the game.

Peyton Miller had two hits and scored a run for Waverly and Collin Traub and Dylan Perry each had hits and scored runs, with Perry getting a double.

Kyle Kinsley had a hit and an RBI for Waverly and Alex Volpe had a double, while Alex Uhl added a hit.

Hunter Thomas started for Waverly, striking out four and walking two, while allowing seven hits and three unearned runs in 5 2/3 innings. Derek Marshall got one out to end the sixth inning.

Notre Dame is at Tioga today and Waverly is at Spencer Van-Etten.

Wellsboro 11, NEB 4

Dawson Prough had a 3-for-3 day with a three-run home run, a double, two runs scored and five RBI to lead the Green Hornets to the victory.

Prough is hitting nearly .700 on the year. His brother Dylan Prough was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a double for Wellsboro.

Nick Tremper and Brian Doty each had a double and two RBI for the Green Hornets.

Joe Allen struck out three and walked none, while allowing two hits in three scoreless innings to get the win. Sam Moss struck out one, walked five and allowed four hits, and four runs, in two innings. Brandon Owlett pitched two perfect innings, striking out all six batters he faced.

Garrett Smith had two hits, with a triple, for NEB and he scored a run. Nik Geiser had a hit and scored a run for the Panthers.

Jeremiah Harvey and Derrick Newman each had hits for NEB and Aaron Pifer scored a run.

Brian Horton, Geiser and Harvey pitched for NEB in the game.

Wellsboro hosts Wyalusing today.
