2014 Wyalusing vs. Northeast Bradford BaseballWYALUSING - The Rams scored five runs in the first three innings on their way to a 9-3 win over Northeast Bradford on Thursday.

Holdan Hitchcock had three hits and an RBI for Wyalusing and Patrick Salsman was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI in the win.

Isaac Bennett had two hits, an RBI and he scored two runs and Cody Pickett had a hit and scored a run. Dylan Otis had a hit and scored a run and Jordan Salsman had a hit and an RBI, while Hunter Brewer scored a run.

Pickett worked three innings on the mound, striking out two, walking two and allowing two hits and no runs. Bennett struck out one, walked none and allowed seven hits and three runs in three innings. Devon Carr struck out one, walked two and allowed no hits or runs in an inning on the mound.

Derrick Newman started on the mound for NEB.

Garrett Smith was 3-for-3 for NEB with an RBI and

Brian Horton had two hits, with a run scored and an RBI.

Aaron Pifer and Bryan Ford each had hits and scored a run for the Panthers.

Nik Geiser and Jeremiah Harvey added hits for NEB.

Wyalusing is at Towanda today.

Tioga 16, Candor 0

The Tigers opened their season with the win, scoring in every inning they hit on Thursday.

Peter Simmons and Jesse Manuel combined on a one-hitter on the mound. Simmons went four innings, striking out five, walking one and allowing a hit, while Manuel allowed one walk and no hits and struck out five in three innings.

At the plate Dakota Skinner had two hits, with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored and Ryan Vergason had an RBI and a run scored.

Jake Howland had a hit, a run and an RBI and Carter Jackson had a double, a run and an RBI.

Simmons had two hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Parker Hendershot had a hit, with a double, three runs and two RBI.

Adam Leyman was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored and Tanner Folk had a hit and an RBI.

"It's finally nice to get out there on the field," Tioga coach Bob Seymour said. "It was a nice first game for us. We were a little sloppy in the field at times and running the bases was a little new for us. Overall it was good to get the first win and Peter and Jesse both looked great on the mound for us."

Tioga is at Odessa-Montour today.

Notre Dame 11, Watkins Glen 3

Ridgebury's Parker May started on the mound, striking out seven and allowing five hits and three runs, two earned, with three walks in five innings.

At the plate May had a hit and scored two runs.

Derek Marshall pitched an inning of scoreless, hitless relief, striking out two.

Sam Bruner had a hit and scored a run and Hunter Thomas and Cameron Reid each had a hit, an RBI and scored three runs.

Marshall had a hit and two RBI and Colin Mustico, Joe Prunier and Chris Karam all had hits, with Mustico and Prunier scoring runs and Karam and Kyle Minchin getting an RBI.

Notre Dame is at Newark Valley on Monday.

Millville 9, Sullivan County 4

The Griffins got a hit, two runs scored and an RBI from Colton Fry and Aaron Wheeler and Robert Hoffman each had hits and an RBI in the loss.

Millville scored five in the first inning on the way to the win.

Jake Gavitt started on the mound for the Griffins and took the loss.

Aaron Ovelman had two hits and scored two runs to lead Millville.
