Athens wins on a walk-off HBPATHENS -- Cory Stivason took one for the team, literally, in Athens 15-14 come-from-behind win over Wellsboro on Tuesday.

Stivason was hit by a pitch with two outs and the bases loaded in the seventh inning to bring home Marc Felt with the winning run.

Athens trailed 14-12 entering the bottom of the seventh inning before rallying for the win.

Luke Newman had a 4-for-4 day with a home run, a double, an RBI and four runs scored, and Marc Felt had three hits with an RBI and three runs scored.

Cody Jennings had three hits, with four RBI, a double and three runs scored, and Cody Sindoni had a double and four RBI.

Ryan Kennedy had a hit and scored twice, and Justin Reagan scored a run.

Matt Collins had three hits and an RBI, and Stivason and Joe Parshall each had hits and two RBI, while Ethan Witherow scored two runs.

Dawson Prough was 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored for Wellsboro, and Dalton Prough had three hits and scored three runs.

Nick Tremper had two hits and four RBI, and Caleb Tennis had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

James Mundy had a hit and scored a run, and Joe Allen had a hit and an RBI.

Cam Tennis had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, and Johnny Rowland had two hits and scored three runs.

Allen started on the mound, and Mundy relieved for Wellsboro, striking out three between them.

Collins, Joe Horn and Jennings pitched for Athens, striking out five.

Mansfield 10, Towanda 0, 5 innings

Carl Dinger had a one-hit shutout, striking out four in the win.

Kipp Hillson had two hits in the win, with two RBI and two runs scored, while Brendon Hill had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

J.P. Shaw had a hit and an RBI for Mansfield, and Dinger had a hit.

Dylan Wesneski had two hits and scored two runs, and Logan Adams scored two runs, while Joel Whitteker scored three runs.

Shane Martin had Towanda's hit. Troy Pierce, Martin, Caleb Lines and Keegan Kisner pitched for Towanda. Pierce struck out three in the game.

Towanda is at NEB today.
