Canton baseball edges NEBCANTON -- The Warriors scored two runs in the first, then after the Panthers tied the game in the top of the fourth, Canton added runs in the bottom of the fourth and sixth innings in a 4-2 win.

Jeremiah McClinton got things started for Canton with a two-run single in the first inning, and Ethan Landis added a two-run single in the sixth and scored the Warriors run in the fourth inning.

Bryce Cole had a hit and scored a run, and Kaden Martell had a hit and scored a run, while Michael Smithers also had a hit and scored a run. Seth Robbins had a double for Canton.

Smithers and Mason Martell pitched for Canton, striking out four.

Northeast Bradford got two hits, with a run scored, from Brian Horton and Nik Geiser had a double and an RBI.

Roland Pyhtila and Derek Newman had hits and Nate Watkins scored a run.

Horton and Geiser struck out two on the mound.

Canton hosts Sayre today.

Athens 6, Wellsboro 3

The Wildcats scored three runs in the seventh inning to get the win.

With the game tied, Marc Felt doubled and Jennings singled him home to put Athens ahead, and then the Wildcats tacked on two runs in the win.

Joe Horn had three hits, with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored, and Felt had a double and scored a run.

Ryan Kennedy and Joe Parshall had hits, with Parshall driving in two runs.

Luke Newman had two hits and Jennings had a hit, while Daniel Joyce had a hit and scored a run.

Cory Stivason had two hits, two RBI and a run scored, and Justin Reagan had two hits. Nate Kennedy and Kaden Rude scored runs for Athens.

Jennings struck out eight in the complete game on the mound.

Joe Allen and Dalton Prough each had two hits for Wellsboro, and Dawson Prough had a triple, while Nick Tremper and James Mundy had hits.

Dawson Prough scored two runs and had an RBI and Dalton Prough scored a run, while Mundy and Allen had RBI.

Joe Allen and Johnny Rowland pitched for Wellsboro, striking out one.

Wellsboro is at Troy today.

Mansfield 17, Towanda 4

J.P. Shaw had two home runs, three hits and seven RBI, scoring two times, in the victory.

Brendan Hill had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a runs cored and Kipp Hillson had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Levi Adams had a hit and scored a run and Eli Compton had a double and an RBI.

Carl Dinger had a hit and scored a run and Derrick Herbst had a hit and three RBI and Dylan Williamson had two hits, with a double and three RBI.

Joel Whitteker had two hits, an RBI and three runs scored for Mansfield.

Hillson and Levi Adams pitched, striking out four.

Lars Thomason had a hit and scored a run for Towanda and Keegan Kisner scored a run.

Tyler Bidlack had a double, an RBI and a run scored, and Brayden Manchester had two hits and an RBI, while Brett Crispell scored a run.

Ricky Smiley had a hit and an RBI, and Ryan Bartholomew had two hits and an RBI, while Luke Tama had two hits.

Thomason, Troy Pierce and Shane Martin pitched for Towanda and struck out two.

Waverly 3, Trumansburg 1

The Wolverines got three hits, with two doubles, from Brendyn Stillman in the win. Stillman also had an RBI.

Peyton Miller, Dylan Cooney and D.J. Meyers had hits and scored runs and Nate Bennett had two hits and an RBI.

Ethan McNaulty struck out three and allowed five hits on the mound.

Oswayo Valley 7, CV 6

The Indians got two hits each from Caleb Fitzwater and Kurtis Easton in the loss, with both hitters scoring runs.

Colton Vinluan had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, and Matt Freeman had a double and two RBI.

Chris Lingle had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, and Corey Wells had a hit and an RBI.

Vinluan pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out three, and Fitzwater struck out one in 2/3 of an inning.

Tioga 16, Candor 1

Tyler Whitmore took a no-hitter through four innings and struck out four in the five one-hit innings. Damon Rockwell struck out three in two no-hit innings.

Tanner Folk had three hits, with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored for Tioga and Whitmore had two hits, with three RBI and a double.

Pierce Hendershot had two hits and scored two runs and Parker Hendershot had a hit, an RBI and scored three runs.

Mitch Taylor and Jake Evanek each had a hit and an RBI, and Jesse Manuel had two hits with an RBI.

Quintin Haus had Candor's hit.
