Canton baseball tops Wellsboro.

The Wolverines scored 16 runs in the first three innings on Saturday as they beat Notre Dame 20-9.

Brendyn Stillman was 6-for-6 for Waverly with a triple, two RBI and four runs scored. Peyton Miller had four hits, six RBI and two runs scored.

Mason Salsman had five hits, with two doubles and a triple, three RBI and two runs scored, and Nate Bennett had two hits, with two RBI and four runs scored.

D.J. Meyers had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored, and Gavin Bennett had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Devin Garrison scored a run, Isiah King had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and Jason Morales, Josh Knolles and Dylan Cooney had hits, with Cooney scoring a run and driving in two runs. Ethan McNaulty scored a run for Waverly.

Gavin Bennett, Garrison, Nate Bennett and Meyers pitched, striking out three.

Nate Snavely, Dylan Treat, Max Odum and Dustin Patton pitched for Notre Dame, striking out four.

Ben Cook had a double, two RBI and a run scored for Notre Dame and Eric Charnetski had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Kyle Minchin scored a run and Odum had a hit and an RBI.

Matt Labadie had a hit and scored two runs and Gary Raupers had a hit and an RBI.

Patton and Matt Smith scored runs in the game.

Canton 7, Wellsboro 3

The Canton baseball team picked up a 7-3 win over Wellsboro on Saturday.

Canton got a 4-for-4 day from Bryce Cole, who scored a run, and Colby Walker had two hits, with two runs scored and two RBI.

Canton scored six runs in the first three innings and then held Wellsboro scoreless after the second inning of the win.

Jim Bowman scored two runs for Canton and Ridge Moore and Seth Robbins had hits. Michael Smithers had a hit and an RBI.

Robbins struck out two in four innings to get the win and Mason Martell struck out two in three innings of relief to get the save.

James Mundy worked 1 1/3 innings for Wellsboro and Dalton Prough and Johnny Rowland also pitched, the three combined to strike out five.

Larry Walters and Dawson Prough each had two hits for Wellsboro, with Prough getting a double. Canton is at Troy on Monday and Wellsboro hosts CV on Monday.

SHAMOKIN TOURNAMENT

Game 1: Troy 5, Line Mountain 3

Nathan Swain pitched five innings, striking out two and allowing five hits to get the win and Collin Binford got the save with two hitless innings with two strikeouts.

Clark Jackson and Swain had two hits each. Jackson had two RBI and scored a run and Swain scored two runs.

Binford had a hit and an RBI and Dane Smith had an RBI.

Kody Schucker had a hit and an RBI and Ben Sherman scored a run, while Hunter Cohick had a hit and a run scored.

Final: Shamokin 15, Troy 2

Kyle Schucker had a solo home run and Ben Sherman had a double and scored a run in the loss.

Binford worked 3 2/3 innings and Swain, Mason Bellows, Cohick and Dane Smith all pitched, combining to strike out four in the final.

SHIKELLAMY TOURNAMENT

Shikellamy 9, Athens 0

Blue Mountain 4, Athens 2

Against Shikellamy the Wildcats got two hits from Luke Newman in the loss and Ryan Kennedy, Justin Regan and Marc Felt had hits.

Matt Collins, Felt and Joe Horn pitched, striking out three.

Against Blue Mountain, Cody Jennings threw two perfect innings with three strikeouts and Newman struck out two in three innings, while Reagan pitched one inning.

Cody Sindoni had a double and Horn, Gavin Stein and Newman had hits. Newman and Collins scored runs and Felt had an RBI.

Williamson 12, Addison 6

The Warriors trailed 5-0 after two innings, but scored 12 runs in the fourth through sixth innings to get the win.

Jon Daley had a hit and four RBI and Colin Heilbrun had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Jared Stermer had a pair of hits, with a double, three RBI and three runs scored, and Tyler Andreason had a double and an RBI.

Matt Learn had an RBI and scored a run, and Chase Austin scored two runs while Ethan Schaffer scored one.

Wyatt Gorg had a hit and scored two runs and Jake Rice scored two runs.

CV 12, Northern Potter 2

The Indians scored eight runs in the first two innings of the win.

Tyler Melko had a home run and two doubles, with two RBI and four runs scored.

Christian Kemp had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Connor Calaman had a hit, two RBI and a run scored, while Caleb Fitzwater and Nevin Stiles scored runs.

Wynn Doan had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Kurtis Easton had two hits.

Corey Wells and Stiles pitched, striking out 11. Stiles struck out 10 in four innings of work.
