Indians top Canton.

The Cowanesque Valley Indians scored three runs in the first and three more in the second on their way to a 10-3 win over Canton on Thursday.

Colton Vinluan had two hits, with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored and Caleb Fitzwater had two hits and scored two runs.

Tyler Melko had two hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored and Kurtis Easton had a double, two RBI and a run scored.

Chris Lingle had two hits, three RBI and a run scored and Matt Freeman and Christian Kemp had hits.

Wynn Doan had three hits, with a double and a triple, a run scored and an RBI.

Melko and Fitzwater combined on a three-hitter, striking out eight in the game.

Brendon Landis had a hit and scored two runs for Canton and Bryce Cole and Nick Schoonover had hits. Schoonover, Mason Martell and Seth Robbins had RBI and James Bowman scored a run.

Landis, Martell and Taylor Acla pitched, striking out four.

Edison 12, Waverly 5

The Wolverines got a home run from Brendyn Stillman, but it wasn’t enough.

Waverly led 3-2 after four, but Edison got two in the fifth, six in the sixth and two in the seventh to get the win.

Stillman had two hits, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored and Mason Salsman scored a run.

Peyton Miller had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and D.J. Meyers had a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Nate Bennett had a hit and an RBI and Jason Morales had a hit.

Zach VanHouten had a hit and Dylan Cooney had two hits.

Stillman, Gavin Bennett and Meyers pitched, striking out six.

Notre Dame 9, Odessa-Montour 2

The Crusaders stayed a game back of Edison in the division race with the victory on Thursday.

Iman McKay and Gary Raupers combined on a four-hitter, striking out eight in the win.

Kyle Minchin had two hits, a run scored and an RBI for Notre Dame and Nate Snively had three hits, a triple, three runs scored and two RBI.

Matt Smith had two hits, a double, a run scored and two RBI and Matt LaBadie had a run scored and an RBI.

McKay had a hit and an RBI and Dustin Patton had a double and a run scored.

Ryess Youman and Zack Odum each had hits and scored runs.
