North Penn-Mansfield ended Loyalsock's reign as District IV, Class AA champions Thursday.

The Tigers beat the Lancers 6-3, thanks in part to a fast start that saw them go up 3-0 in the first inning.

Brendan Hill was 3-for-4 with three runs for NP-Mansfield while Kipp Hillson went 2-for-3 with two runs.

JP Shaw threw a 4-hitter for the win.

Dylan Wesneski had 3-RBI with Carl Dinger knocking in two runs.

The win ends Loyalsock's 2-year title streak. The Lancers have won three of the last four championships and have been in the finals for seven straight years.

Loyalsock's only two losses this year, before Thursday, have been to Class AAAA Williamsport.

The Tigers will play Warrior Run in the title game.

NP-Mansfield will be going for their second district title, winning their first 12 years ago.
