District IV baseball and softball brackets unveiled.

District IV released their brackets for the upcoming A-AAAA baseball and softball playoffs on Sunday.

In Class A baseball, Cowanesque Valley will be taking on number one seeded Montgomery in the first round on Wednesday and second-seeded Sayre will be playing Millville on Wednesday. The winners of those games will play each other at Penn State on May 31st to determine the district champ and who advances to the PIAA state tournament.

In Class AA baseball, The winner of Williamson and Wellsboro on Thursday will play South Williamsport in the district final. Two teams from this bracket will advance to the PIAA state tournament.

In Class AAA baseball, North Penn-Mansfield will be playing Danville on Tuesday in Mansfield. NPM will take on the winner of Loyalsock and Mount Carmel on Friday. Only one team advances to the state tournament in this bracket.

In Class AAAA baseball, Athens has the top seed and will receive a bye in round one. They will play the winner of Lewisburg and Jersey Shore on Friday. Only the winner of the bracket advances to the state tournament.

SOFTBALL

In Class A softball, Cowanesque Valley will play Galeton on Tuesday, the winner will advance to play first-seeded Muncy on Thursday. On the other side of the bracket, Northeast Bradford will receive a bye in the first round, then they will play the winner of Bucktail and St. John Neumann on Thursday. Two teams advance to the state tournament from this bracket.

In Class AA softball, Wyalusing and Williamson will play on Friday to determine who will take on South Williamsport in the final. Only the champion will advance to the state tournament.

In Class AAA softball, North Penn-Liberty will face off with Loyalsock on Tuesday and Wellsboro will take on second-seeded Bloomsburg. The winners of those two games will play to determine who will advance to the district final. Two teams from this bracket will advance to the state tournament.

In Class AAAA softball, Athens will play a pigtail match against Jersey Shore on Tuesday. The winner of that game will play first-seeded Milton on Friday. Only the champion advances to the state tournament in this bracket.
