Sayre baseball edges TiogaSAYRE -- The Redskins scored eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings on their way to a 9-6 win over Tioga on Saturday.

The Tigers tried to rally late, scoring six runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but it wasn't enough.

Quinn Hanafin had two hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored for Sayre and Connor Hanafin had three hits and scored a run.

Nate Sweet had a hit and scored a run and Sam Wheeler had a hit and an RBI, while Jordan Rockwell added an RBI.

John Esposito had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored and James Esposito had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.

Jon Cron had a hit for Sayre and Chris Ray had a hit and two RBI.

Sweet pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out three and John Esposito struck out two in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Parker Hendershot had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for Tioga and Mitchell Taylor had two hits and scored a run.

Justin Rockwell had a double and four RBI and Nick Klossner had a triple and scored a run.

Pierce Hendershot had an RBI and a run scored and Damon Rockwell scored two runs.

Gabe Martin had a hit for Tioga.

Pierce Hendershot started for Tioga, striking out three in 4 1/3 innings and Damon Rockwell pitched 1 2/3 innings.

North Penn-Mansfield 17, Troy 3, 5 innings

EAST TROY -- The Tigers scored 12 runs in the fourth inning of the win.

Carl Dinger struck out five and allowed four hits and three unearned runs in five innings.

Joel Whitteker had three hits, three RBI and a run scored and Brendan Hill had two hits, an RBI and four runs scored and Kipp Hillson had two hits, an RBI and three runs scored.

J.P. Shaw had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.

Dylan Williamson had a hit and three RBI and Dylan Meyer scored a run.

Dinger had an RBI and Nathan Mahonski scored a run.

Derrick Herbst had two hits, two RBI and a run scored and Dewey Wise had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, while Dylan Williamson had a hit and scored three runs.

Hunter Kendall and Kody Schucker had doubles for Troy, it was Kendall's first career double. Anthony Deitrick and Tyler Williams had hits for Troy. Williams and Nate Martin had RBI and Bailey Cohick, Matt LaBadie and Clark Jackson scored runs.

Mason Bellows started for Troy, followed by LaBadie, Nick Colton and Martin.

Canton 9, Sullivan County 0

The Warriors got a combined two-hitter from Uriah Baillie and Nate Deeghan in the win.

The two pitchers struck out nine and walked two in the win.

Kaden Martell had three hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored and Deghan and Brendan Landis each had two hits. Landis scored two runs and Deeghan scored a run and had two RBI.

Jeremiah McClinton had a hit and scored a run and Silas Binford scored two runs.

Byron Marnati scored a run.

Sam Carpenter and Braeden Bedford had hits for the Griffins. Jared Houck and Nate Higley combined to strike out five for the Griffins.

CENTRAL COLUMBIA TOURNAMENT

Central Columbia 10, Wyalusing 2

Central scored seven runs in the third inning of the win.

Holdan Hitchcock had a hit for Wyalusing and Joe Wheeler had a hit and scored a run.

Mason McGroaty had a hit and Dallas Saxon scored a run.

Chandler Brown had a hit and an RBI.

Shane Fuhrey and Zach Bruyn struck out two between them for the Rams.

Bloomsburg 5, Wyalusing 3

The Rams took a 3-0 lead after the top of the first inning, but Bloomsburg tot a run in the first, two in the third and two in the sixth in the win.

Hitchcock had a hit, an RBI and a run scored for Wyalusing and McGroaty had a double and two RBI.

Fuhrey had a hit and Wheeler and Brandon Dake scored runs.

Chandler Brown threw the complete game for the Rams, striking out two.

Cowanesque Valley 12, Northern Potter 4

In the opener Christian Kemp had three hits, with a double, an RBI and three runs scored for the Indians.

Seth Huyler had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and Owen Fitzwater had a hit and scored two runs.

Wynn Doan had a hit, a run scored and three RBI and Chris Lingle had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored.

Hunter McNeeley and Caleb Fitzwater scored runs and Cory Burnette and Kurtis Easton had hits. Easton had an RBI and Jace Bieser scored a run.

Kemp pitched six innings, striking out eight, and Lingle pitched one inning.

In the second game Corey Wells had two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored and Bieser had three hits, with a double, three RBI and three runs scored.

Huyler had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Owen Fitzwater had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Lingle had two hits, three RBI and two runs scored and Burnette had a hit.

Doan had a hit and scored a run and Kemp had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.

Caleb Fitzwater had a hit and scored a run and Easton had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.

Huyler, Caleb Fitzwater and Hunter McNeeley combined on a two-hitter, striking out nine for CV.

Josh Swain had two hits, with a double, and four RBI for Troy in the win.

Nick Call had a double, an RBI and a run scored and Remington Shipman had a hit and scored a run for Troy. Bailey Cohick scored a run and Hunter Kendall scored two runs.

Swain struck out seven in a three-hitter for the Trojans.
