ROUNDUP: Yohn strikes out 7 as Montgomery beats Muncy.

Gabe Yohn struck out seven seven and drove in three runs as Montgomery baseball defeated Muncy, 12-2, in five innings. Yohn was 2 for 2 with a double and a home run. Jensen Drick also homered and drove in three runs for the Red Raiders.

Taynton Repard threw a four-hit shutout and struck out 10 as Wellsboro defeated Sugar Valley, 9-0. Parker Mann drove in a pair of runs for the Green Hornets, and Silas Wagaman had a pair of hits.

Athens had a pair of five-run innings in a 13-3 win over Mansfield. The Tigers were held just three hits over five innings.

Colby Willits and Mac Griswold each hit home runs and Jersey Shore pounded out 13 hits as it scored five times in the last two innings and defeated Selinsgrove, 7-5. Griswold and Willits each had two hits and Koby Peacock and Dylan Young each had three as Jersey Shore (7-1) stayed undefeated in the HAC-I. Timmy Saar won his second game and Brandon DePasqua earned his second save.

Seven starters for St. John Neumann had a hit, and all nine starters reached base safely en route to a 17-2 win over Bucktail in four innings. After a base hit and error gave Bucktail an early 1-0 lead, Jaiden Cioffi and Malaki Parlante led the way for the Neumann Knights going a combined 6 for 6 with two walks and eight RBIs. Brandon Loner continued his dominance on the mound with eight strikeouts in three innings.

Jacob Corson pitched 5 1/3 solid innings, but Mount Carmel scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the 5-3 win. Jaret Stroup (2-4), Clayton Poust (3-3) and Mike Hill (2-3, RBI) each had multi-hit games for Hughesville.

Caitlyn Hauck went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and three runs, sparking an 11-hit attack as Hughesville defeated Sullivan County, 14-3, in five innings. Shayna Ragan, Emily Watts and Olivia Miller each had two hits and Hughesville snapped Sullivan’s three-game winning streak. Rachel Baxter added two RBIs and two runs for the Spartans.

Gina Beyer picked up two hits, giving her 100 in her career, and Warrior Run scored at least three runs in every inning as it topped East Juniata, 17-2, in four innings. Megan Herriman pitched a five-hitter for the Defenders as they had five players with multi-hit efforts.

Lexi Schuler pitched a five-inning perfect game and Bella Kriner went 4 for 5 with a double, home run, three RBIs and five runs at the plate to lead Jersey Shore to a 13-0 win over Southern Columbia. The Bulldogs notched 16 hits as Kylie Russell (2-3), Brianna Herman (2-2 double, triple, two RBIs), Ashlyn Wool (2-3, double) and Alyssa Stover (2-4, double, run) all had multi-hit games.

Anne Weller struck out eight and didn’t allow any walks in six innings of work, but Millville defeated St. John Neumann, 6-2.

Wellsboro backed Kerrah Clymer (five strikeouts, one walk) with 13 hits and three home runs in its 10-7 win over Cowanesque Valley. Chelsie English (3-4, double, home run, 4 RBIs, 2 runs), Heidi Zuchowski (3-run home run) and Jena Boyce (2-run home run) each belted homers for Wellsboro.

Emily Snyder struck out 11 and allowed just four hits to lead Montgomery to a 7-3 win over Muncy. The Red Raiders put up six runs in the bottom of the third as Snyder and Lauren Saiers had two hits apiece.

Williamsport swept all five matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win over Jersey Shore in high school tennis. Kevin Zheng posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, and Ty Jackson had a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

Peter Kinnaman and Chris Meng teamed up for a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles as Lewisburg dropped just 14 games in its 5-0 win over Selinsgrove.
