Coaching Bio

Coach Brant is in his second year of coaching baseball for the Hornets. Coach Brant is a 2004 graduate of Mansfield Junior/Senior High School, where he played baseball for the Tigers and football for North Penn.

Coach Brant led Mansfield to a record of 22-2 in his senior year. The Tigers were the 2004 Northern Tier League Champs and District IV Champs, and Coach Brant earned Northern Tier League MVP, Team MVP, District IV Pitcher of the Year and was first team All-State.

Coach Brant was named the 2004 Male Athlete of the Year honors in his hometown of Mansfield, PA, where he pitched 72.0 innings, had 152 strikeouts, had a 0.55 ERA, .438 batting average with 26 RBI and 17 stolen bases as a senior.

After high school, Coach Brant attended the University of Pittsburgh and was a four-year starting pitcher. Coach Brant was a Freshman All-American and currently holds the career record for strikeouts thrown.

Coach Brant works at UGI Energy Services and currently lives in Mansfield with his wife, Amber, and two children.
