Wellsboro baseball falls in D4 final.

The Wellsboro baseball team's dreams of a district title were dashed by the pitching of Tripp Breen.

Breen limited the Green Hornets to three hits in a 7-0 South win. He struck out five in the game.

Silas Wagaman had two hits for Wellsboro and Billy Lechler had a hit.

Breen only let Wellsboro get a runner in scoring position three times in the game.

In the third inning Wagaman singled, stole second and moved to third.

In the fourth inning Lechler singled and stole second and in the fifth Wagaman singled and stole second.

Carson Davis started on the mound for Wellsboro.

South got two runs in the third, a run in the fourth, one in the fifth and three in the sixth inning of the win.

They finished the game with six hits.
