NEB baseball sweeps a pairLERAYSVILLE — The Northeast Bradford baseball team swept a pair from Susquehanna on Saturday, 10-5 and 15-1.

Brian Horton got the complete-game win, striking out nine in the first game.

Garret Smith had a hit and scored two runs, and Nate Watkins had two hits, a triple, two runs scored and an RBI.

Tyler Emick had two hits and scored two runs, and Braeden Frisbie scored a run.

Nik Geiser had two hits, a run scored and three RBI, and Roland Pyhtila had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

Nick Vrabel scored a run and Grant Allis had a hit.

In the second game Joby Leiser, Geiser and Nate Chilson pitched, striking out five.

Watkins had a hit and scored two runs and Emick had a double, an RBI and four runs scored.

Leiser had two hits and scored a run and Nick Vrabel had a double and two RBI.

Geiser had three hits, with a double, four RBI and two runs scored and Frisbie had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Smith had a hit and scored a run, Pyhtila had a hit and scored a run and Horton had four hits, four RBI and three runs scored.

NEB hosts Sayre on Wednesday.

CV 12, Sayre 6

The Indians got six runs in the first two innings and added four in the sixth in the win.

Tyler Melko had two hits, with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored; and Colton Vinluan had two hits, with a triple, four RBI and a run scored.

Kurtis Easton had a pair of hits and scored a run, and Wynn Doan had a hit.

Caleb Fitzwater had a hit and scored two runs, and Jace Bieser had a hit.

Corey Wells had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Connor Calaman had two hits and scored two runs. Matt Freeman had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Sayre got a hit and three runs scored from Sam Wheeler, and Nate Sweet had a hit and two RBI.

Jordan Rockwell scored a run, and Matt Williams had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

Connor Hanafin and John Esposito each had a hit and an RBI, and James Esposito had a hit.

Nevin Stiles and Caleb Fitzwater combined on the six-hitter for CV.

Troy 11, Line Mountain 2

The Trojans got six runs in the first inning of the win.

Collin Binford was 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Nathan Swain was 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI.

Clark Jackson had a hit and scored a run, and Jah Wallace scored four runs after Kyle Schucker drew four walks.

Dane Smith and Nate Martin scored runs.

Swain got the win, striking out four in two innings, and Binford and Schucker pitched in relief.

The JV team beat Line Mountain 13-2 with Hunter Kendall throwing a two-hitter with seven strikeouts.

The Warriors got a no-hitter from Chase Austin in the first game, striking out six in the win.

Jon Daley had a hit and scored a run, Colin Heilbrun had a hit and scored a run and Matt Learn had a hit and an RBI.

Wyatt Gorg and Jared Stermer had hits for the Warriors.

In game two, Daley had two hits and scored two runs, and Rice had a hit and scored two runs.

Ethan Schaeffer had a hit and scored a run and Heilbrun had a hit, an RBI and three runs scored.

Learn had two hits, with a double, three RBI and three runs scored and Austin had a hit and an RBI.

Tyler Andreason had a hit, two RBI and a run scored and Gorg had a hit and scored a run.

Stermer had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Hunter Sackett had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

Sackett threw a three-hitter, striking out one.

Sequoia Valley 6, Tioga 5

In a rematch of a state game from last year, the Tigers suffered their first loss of the year.

Parker Hendershot had four hits, two doubles and scored two runs for Tioga, and Pierce Hendershot had two hits, with a double.

Tanner Folk had four hits and Mitchell Taylor had a hit.

Tyler Whitmore had a hit and scored two runs, Zach Blayda had a hit, and Gabe Hoose had a hit and scored a run.

Vestal 6, Waverly 0

The Wolverines were no-hit in the loss.

James Moyer, Ben Coscia and Robert Rece combined on the no-hitter for Vestal, striking out eight.

Tyler Croft and Devin Garrison pitched for Waverly, striking out three.
