Hornets blank Mansfield in 5 innings.
 

The Wellsboro Varsity baseball team picked up their second win of the 2012 season as they blanked Mansfield 11-0 in 5 innings on Monday night. The team used solid hitting and exploded for 10 runs in the 4th inning to seal the victory. Senior Brandon Grinnell threw a no-hitter in the victory and struck out four.

Matt Reese, Brian Doty, Thomas Johnston, Dylan Prough, Pat Herres, and Brandon Owlett all had hits, while Reese had an RBI, Doty had a double and an RBI, Johnston and Prough each had a double and two RBIs and Herres had two RBIs.

The team will be back in action on Friday, April 13, as they travel to Galeton.
