JV Baseball falls to Milton.

The Wellsboro JV baseball team lost the first game of the Shikellamy JV Tournament to Milton, 4-3. The Hornets jumped out to a first inning lead as Nate Harding drove in Cody DeHaas. The offense remained patient at the plate, drawing some walks and tacking on two runs in the top of the second, with Tanner Swan and Dylan Widows scoring. The Milton pitching staff took control of the game moving forward and the Milton offense chipped away at the lead, eventually taking the lead. The game ended at the end of the sixth inning, due to tournament time constrictions.

Dan Saniga threw three innings, giving up one run. Kyler Widows relieved Saniga, giving up three runs over two and two-thirds innings. Harding, Saniga and Dylan Widows had hits for Wellsboro.

The second game against Danville was suspended due to rain. Danville held a five run lead in the bottom of the third inning.
