Middle School receives Sportsmanship Award.
 

The Rock L. Butler Middle School was presented with the District IV 2014-2015 PIAA Sportsmanship Award on Thursday, August 6.

Members of the Wellsboro Area School District attended the PIAA District IV Annual Summer Workshop meeting in Watsontown, PA where Wellsboro received this year's award.

District IV is comprised of 44 public schools and 10 private schools that spans 9 counties: Bradford, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, and Union. The award is selected by the District IV committee based on:

  1. Observations of players, students and coaches conduct
  2. Evaluations submitted by officials.

The award was presented to Wellsboro by Dr. Robert A. Lombardi, Executive Director of PIAA.
